My first (and last) Help Desk ticket since my ban didn't really yield anything in terms of acceptable answers (Just a measly link to a certain FAQ #212 regarding refunds if you're banned). On top of all of this, I found out that I was banned from the Help Desk, as I was trying to send a reply to my inquiry (Real smart for them to do that, so they don't have to deal with people they don't want to deal with).
So, I was talking with a friend of mine on MSN, and she advised sending an e-mail to help@deviantart.com, which I did (hoping that I'd finally get an answer to my questions).
Boy was I wrong.
The reply e-mail that I got stated the following:
For all Policy related matters, please direct your inquiry to our Policy Team via email @ violations@deviantart.com , so it may be seen by the correct parties.
or
If you already have a deviantART account that you can login to, please direct your inquiry to the community help desk on site via http://help.deviantart.com/contact . Be sure to select one of the contact categories handled by the Policy Team.
Thank you
Such awesome customer service, eh? I didn't think so. For starters, NONE of my questions were answered, which I'd grown to expect after my last Help Desk ticket. For two: The person who wrote that reply is obviously very stupid, as she doesn't seem to realize that I am banned from the Help Desk. Below is my original e-mail, with my questions:
Hello,
Firstly, I have a couple questions that need answering:
1. If someone can be banned for replying to a user who has Blocked them, why is it that the Block system is not extended beyond a person's userpage?
2. I would also like an explanation for both: the un-called for ban on my account, from deviantART, as well as my ban from the Help Desk.
Thank you for your time
As much as I don't like to think about it, deviantART is, pretty much, the epitome of horrid customer service (As long as they can keep the money coming in, that's all that matters). As far as I know, deviantART's security has always been a joke (and this is coming from the former PVA Staff member). It's not just her, though, someone else, who is still a member of deviantART said something about a zero-day dAmn exploit which, if taken advantage of, could DoS the chat servers. Would the admins really care to fix that? I don't think so.
UPDATE: My deviantART membership is still in the air (ban will be reviewed in at least a month, so maybe not all hope is lost. I'm not getting my hopes up too high just yet, though)

Your ban is long overdue in my opinion, not "uncalled for". For as long as I can remember you haven't said a single good thing about deviantart or the staff there. Sure everything needs critism, but stuff like "The person who wrote that reply is obviously very stupid" is the kind of stuff which is uncalled for, both on and off the site. The staff on dA are not all planning and plotting against you, stop acting and talking as if they are.
And to be honest, if they are actually doing that. then it your own fault for being such an ass to them.
You seriously need to find something better to do with your time.
"For as long as I can remember you haven't said a single good thing about deviantart or the staff there. "
Oh, give me a break, will ya? Yeah, I did say some things that were against deviantART, some of it's Staff, because they were warranted.
That does NOT take into account the fact that way before that (November of 2004 to be exact), I was in support of deviantART, because I thought it was a very good place for artists.
I started seeing signs of deviantART going downhill sometime in 2005, but I still stayed, for my friends, because I felt there was still some good left in the site.
Now, I've gotten all the proof that I need, regarding how deviantART will continue to do what it wants, no matter how detrimental it is to it's health (It's kinda like a good friend who refuses to do what's right even though what he/she's doing is destroying their health).
Everything needs criticism, yes, but what you fail to realize is that the Staff can't handle ANY criticism, apparently (Just look at ndifference, and coxi).
And you say I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes? LMAO
